Celebrating the Food Fest

Theme:
Know Your Neighbour

Objective:
Students will be aware of the foods (Chinese, Indian, Malay or even ASEAN food) that are available in their local hawker centres.

Event:
-Students need to scour their neighbourhood hawker centres, Chinatown Complex and East Coast Lagoon Food Village, The Central, Marina Square and Raffles City in search of other ethnic group’s (not necessarily Singaporean's) dish/dessert.

-You can look for ideas at this website on the Singapore Food Festival.

-You will have to taste at least one of the food that is befitting of the theme.-It is a must that you take down notes of the place that you have been to and the food(s) that you have tasted. You must also take good quality pictures of the place that you have been to and the food that you have tasted. There is no restrictions on how you are going to write your notes or how your photos are to be taken.

-A total of 20 marks will be given:
10 = content and relevance to the Racial Harmony theme,
5 = creativity and photos,
5 = evaluation of the food.

-You will have to submit your notes and photos on this blogsite site.

-Do take note of the submission dateline: 25th July 2009, Saturday.
